A little over a week ago, I was in Pilsen with a friend. On the recommendation of Mr. N, who eats here for lunch since it is close to where he works, we had lunch here. What a great find!
From the front, Perez Restaurant looks small, so it was a surprise to see how large the dining room actually is.
The salsa was a smoked chipote, had a bit of kick to it and was quite good. Because we were both famished, we had to be careful to not fill up on this and chips.
I ordered a chocolate milkshake, freshly made and topped with a bit of cinnamon.

My friend, Peter, ordered quesadillas. They looked as good as he said they were.

Having not had any meat for several days, I had a taste for carne asada. I think this is the best carne asada I have ever had!

Their art had a theme to it that was reminiscent of Jesus Helguera:

Thanks to their generous portions, neither of us could even consider ordering dessert! I'm looking forward to the next time I can have lunch here with one of my Pilsen 'fan' friends.
